This page is a reference: user-visible changes to Alternate Clouds, the acc CLI, and these docs, newest first. CLI versions carry their npm publish date. Anything before June 2026 belongs to the retired af product; see What changed from af.

September 2026

• New documentation site (2026-09-07). Rebuilt on the current product: every page states what you can do today, the command reference and SDK reference are generated from source on every change, and the sidebar separates Start here, Guides, and Reference.
• Docs for AI agents. Every page has Copy for AI and Open in (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor), a Markdown twin, and the site publishes /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt. See Docs for AI agents.
• New pages: Accounts, organizations, and projects, How billing works, How a deployment works, Deploy an AI agent, a current Web app overview, and a rewritten Troubleshoot common problems.
• Retired guides removed (2026-09-10). The af-era guides redirect to What changed from af.

August 2026

• acc 1.1.0 (published 2026-08-18).
  • Region selection on create and deploy: --region us-east|us-west|eu|asia, or leave it out for the cheapest offer worldwide.
  • GPU services: --gpu, --gpu-model, --gpu-count, and acc regions --gpu <model> for availability and price.
  • acc cp copies files to and from a running deployment; acc ssh fixes.
  • acc attest <serviceId> fetches the attestation report of a confidential service; --verify checks it on your machine against the chip vendor's roots.
  • acc billing topup --crypto tops up credits with a stablecoin transfer and asks for a refund address for any difference.
  • acc chat: end-to-end encrypted rooms from the terminal (join, send, read, and an agent mode for bots).
• Account settings redesigned (2026-08-10): change your verified email, link a wallet to an existing account, and delete your account (queued, with a grace period, 2026-08-13).
• Low-balance guidance. Deploys refused for insufficient credits explain what to top up (2026-08-09), and the balance in the top bar links to Billing.

July 2026

• Pay the subscription from credits (2026-07-08). Plans can be funded from the credit wallet instead of a card.
• Crypto topups in the web app (2026-07-13): pay in any supported asset through WalletConnect; credits land as US dollars.
• Open signup (2026-07-14). The invite list is off; anyone can sign up and start the 14-day trial.
• Sign in with an Ethereum wallet on by default (2026-07-28), and a redesigned sign-in page (2026-07-27).
• acc 1.0.3 (published 2026-07-02): clearer error when a service name is already taken in another project.

June 2026

• af becomes acc (2026-06-19). The CLI is renamed and republished as @alternatefutures/acc (1.0.1, then 1.0.2 the same day). Install with npm install -g @alternatefutures/acc. The old @alternatefutures/cli package is frozen; see What changed from af.
• The web app moves to clouds.alternatefutures.ai (2026-06-19). The old address redirects.
• GPU services reach active reliably (2026-06-29), with logs and a shell for GPU machines.
• Deployment file editor (2026-06-11) and web terminal (2026-06-13) on a service's page in the web app.
• Teams. Organization roles (owner, admin, member), invitations, and per-member project access (2026-06-06). Members, Billing, and Settings pages are owner and admin only.
• Template catalog grows through the summer to 23 templates: AI agents, inference servers, databases, game servers, and developer tools. acc templates list shows the current set.

Before June 2026

The af CLI (0.2.x, December 2025 to April 2026) and the first web app deployed static sites to IPFS, Filecoin, and Arweave, hosted agents, and ran cloud functions. That product line is retired. Its commands do not exist in acc; What changed from af maps each feature to its replacement.
