Templates overview
This page explains templates. For the full list with resources and settings, see the template catalog; for a worked example, see Deploy an AI agent.
A template is a ready-to-deploy service definition: a container image, default resources (CPU, memory, storage, GPU when needed), the ports it exposes, the environment variables it accepts, and a health check. Deploying from a template gives you a running service in minutes without writing a deployment file.
Deploy a template
From the web app, open Deploy a template at
https://clouds.alternatefutures.ai/deploy, pick one and fill in the required
variables.
From the CLI:
acc templates list
acc templates info <template-id>
acc services create --kind template --template <template-id>Every required environment variable without a default must be set before the deploy starts; the catalog marks them. Variables marked "set by the platform" are filled in for you when you deploy.
Composite templates
Some templates deploy several services together, for example an agent with its own database. These composite templates deploy from the web app only; the CLI does not support them yet and says so if you try. The catalog marks each one.
Where the list comes from
The catalog is generated from the platform's template registry on every merge
and filtered to what the platform currently offers, so it matches
acc templates list and the web app.
